Solid Perfume Ambra Antiqua, 15ml

Inspired by the ancient Venetian apothecary tradition, this product is crafted by Spezieria de Venezia using carefully selected ingredients and time-honoured techniques.

Solid perfume, highly persistent, alcohol-free and skin-friendly, based on an ancient recipe created for Madonna Isabella d’Este, Mistress of Mantua, in the 15^th century. Ancient solid perfumes were burnt to perfume the environments and from here the term “par-fumo” was born in Venice, literally "it seems smoke". Many formulas of the ancient apothecaries included the use of waxes, resins and vegetable pastes to create solid perfumes, a technique here taken to create this ambery and spicy fragrance.
